How to Get to Your Organization
Access Your Organization through the Settings menu at the top of your screen:
Your Organization Features & Options
There are multiple sections in Your Organization.
Please note: Many of the features/options listed below are related to groups. If you do not have groups in your account, you won't see most of the groups-related features.
People & Group Search
In the top section of Your Organization, search for a person or group:
Click on the person or group's name to go to the page for that person or group:
People & Group List
You can also use lists to find people or groups. When you first load the Your Organization page, you'll see a list of group types below the search box. Click on one of the group types to show a list of groups in your account that match that group type:
Click People to see a list of learners in your account:
Clicking the name of a person or group in the list below the search box will take you to that person's page or group's page in Your Organization.
Please note: If your organization doesn't have groups, you won't see group types.
Person's Page in Your Organization
Each learner in your account has a unique page in Your Organization:
At the top of the page, click on the person's name to edit how that name appears on reports:
Please note: If you change a person's name and then an external system (like an HRIS) changes their name later, Watershed will replace your changes with the one made by the external system.
Change Image (Person Page)
The Change Image button allows you to upload an image that will be shown for learners in some reports:
If the learner has a Gravatar or access to Watershed and uploaded their own image, it will appear here.
Invite to Organization
The Invite to Organization button invites an existing learner to become a Watershed user and give them access to Watershed. You can choose the type of user you're creating and Watershed will send the learner an email walking them through the process of setting up an account.
If the person is already a Watershed User, you won't see the Invite to Organization button. The person is already identified as a Watershed user on this page:
Interactions (Person Page)
The Interactions section of Your Organization shows the most recent interactions for the learner:
Manage Emails and Accounts
The Manage Emails and Accounts button lets you see which personas are associated with your learner and gives you the ability to combine two different learner personas into one so that when you look at the learner in Watershed's reports, it can include both personas' data.
Parent Groups (Person Page)
The Parent Groups section shows all of the groups your person is in.
Groups are saved in a hierarchy within Watershed, so some groups can be saved below other groups. Groups in which a person has explicit membership are labelled "Direct." If a person is in a group that is a member of another group, those groups are listed in this section as "Implied."
Data Permissions (Person Page)
In this section, give your learner permissions to see other people's data when they log into Watershed.
You can also see who has permission to see the person you're looking at.
Please note: You can give learners data permissions even if they don't have access to Watershed. This allows you to set up permissions before inviting them so they see the correct data the first time they log into Watershed

Parent Groups (Group Page)
The Parent Groups section shows all of the groups your group is in.
Groups are saved in a hierarchy within Watershed, so some groups can be saved below other groups. Groups in which a group has explicit membership are labelled "Direct." If a group is in another group that is a member of yet another group, those groups are listed in this section as "Implied."
Child Groups
The Child Groups section shows all of the groups that are underneath the group you're looking at.
People
The People section of a group's page in Your Organization shows a list of people that are members of the group you're looking at (both direct members and indirect members):
Use the Add Person button to add a person to this group:
Data Permissions (Group Page)
In this section, give everyone in this group permissions to see other people's data when they log into Watershed.
Please note: You can give learners data permissions even if they don't have access to Watershed. This allows you to set up permissions before inviting them so they see the correct data the first time they log into Watershed
View Your Organization
The View Your Organization button on the main Your Organization page gives you a visual representation of how the hierarchy of groups is set up in your account.
A popup with a visual of the relationships between your groups will appear:
On this popup, use your mouse wheel to zoom, drag to graphic to scroll, and click on a group to open that group's page.
Please note: Sometimes you'll see a menu in the Your Organization popup. This is a list of groups with child groups that do not have parent groups. Select one of these groups from the menu to see the hierarchy underneath that group.
Group Type Sequence
Groups appear in many places in Watershed, from the top menu of Your Organization to the People filter in the report builder:
The Group Type Sequence allows you to customize the order that those groups appear in these places. We recommend choosing an order where the highest level groups and the most important groups are at the top of this list. Use the three dots to drag and drop the groups in your desired order:
